Well I got through the testing again. I wasn't worried since I passed it last week as a trial run. Just have to get through the road test. I may be a little rusty in the shifting since it's been a year since I've been behind the wheel but I'll get back into the swing of things.

Gypsy, I'm sure you'll do just fine. Good luck on the road test and glad to hear you'll soon be out there with your hubby. Take care and have a good week.

Hey George sorry to here about the setback. Hopefully it gets all straightened out and you can get back on the road real soon. SNI is a better company when a quality driver like you is out on the road. I still think Roehl is kicking itself for letting a great driver like you go.Hope you achieve your wildest dreams and all that you deserve is showered upon you.

Today I will be an official pumpkin driver. Just have to finish up a little paper work which will only take a few hours. Got our truck assignment. It's a 2010 Volvo. Our truck number is 56879. So if you guys should see us say hi. I just want to add how appreciative I am of everyone here at Edwardsville and of course of Mike in Green Bay. They have been very supportive and encouraging.

well I heard back from SNI .... they will not let me drive until May of 2011 even tho I have clearance from all my doctors ..... since doctors said I can go back to work in Aug, I need to rethink my situation .... wondering if driving is worth all the hassles ... congrats Gypsy and be safe out there .... thanks to all who offered words of encouragement ......

Sorry grc. I know it can be frustrating. I understand you rethinking driving. Is there any way you can get a local gig until May?

Thanks johnday. We have a CB as well. We are home until Sunday night. Going back for Monday morning. Have one more meeting with the head of instructors. And then we are off in the truck. Have to get use to the electronic logging. The GPS is a nice feature.

Not being nosey, but did you ask about any type of light duty job? Bummer about not driving until next year, but it would seem SNI could/would do something to help you out.:biggrin_25525:

The last truck I was in had the new QC. By the end of the 2 weeks, I'd gotten comfy with the logging. Took me a bit to remember to punch it in. Paper still seems easier to me.

Yeah, the GPS is a nice feature. Especially the miles left to destination readout. I'm still very leery about relying heavily on it. 3 or 4 times, mine appeared to be confused. The thing would just go nutsy, and then ask if I wanted to reroute.:biggrin_2559: Well DUH!!! I think there are some bugs to worked out yet.:biggrin_25525:
