    Its about supply and demand.

Three years ago, there was an empty truck behind every tree looking for a load in the NE. Who the heck is going to pay a decent rate when EVERYBODY is in a race to the bottom in order to get a load? That was the market... and Prime didn't make that market - the shippers did.

Hey... you're better off taking the crap rate to get the heck outta there. If you sit waiting for that "primo" load in an area that has no "primo" loads, the fixed costs are going to eat you alive.

Three years is a long time. Three years ago I was a foreman for and AC construction company making $19.00 an hour with good bennies.. Things change.

Yup they sure do. When I got my engineering degree, I never thought that I'd be driving a truck and liking it. Things change.

My career became a "tradable commodity." Hope the guy in S. Asia who got it is having a good life.

I see you need help spelling. May I suggest a summer course on spelling at your local school?

Well to be honest, I honestly think people gripe about Prime cause they have nothing better to do. I mean they never mention who they work for, or why the grass is suppossedly "greener" on the other side. Not once through all the posts have I seen one naysayer say things are better...... oh wait... I know of one. That is NoTarps who works for Maverick. My bad.... the others well..... they just gripe and gripe to what end? What is the main reason? I don't get it. I think its all hogwash anyway.

Am I saying Prime is the best? No, but I visited several T/S in Maryland and have met several drivers. Prime, Swift, Schneider, etc.... and Prime drivers were the nicest and most courteous of the bunch.... thats just IMHO.
