Next time it takes you that long, jump out of the truck when it finally makes it into the hole and make like a fighter and raise your arms in victory and pat yourself on the back to give all the other drivers a good laugh with you instead of at you! ROFL!

Some days I amaze myself with how quick and easy I perform the most difficult backing maneuver! Other times, not so much!
There was this one time, driving for Schneider, I even said to myself "#### I am so good, I need a raise!":biggrin_25525:

So I dropped the loaded trailer at the dock to get it unloaded and was even congratulated by a few other drivers that observed my awesome skills! Fast forward 60 minutes. Still feeling pretty good about myself, its time to hook up my now empty trailer and go get my next load. You know where this is going! I backed under it, hooked up, raised the landing gear, put it in 3rd gear and DROPPED THE #### THING ON IT'S NOSE!:biggrin_2552:
In full view of everyone, and those that didn't see it drop, heard it drop and came out to see who the rookie was! I was soooo embarrassed! Thank goodness it was empty! I cranked it back up, it was the longest 10-15 minutes of my life. I know I did alot of damage to the Schneider image that day!
Schnitt happens, as long as no one got hurt, we will look back at laugh at it later!!!

    Texas-Nana Thanks this.

If you didnt scratch any paint, and no blood was spilled, you did a great job. I have been doing this a few days, and thats the way I think....not how long it took, but how safely it was done. Most of the guys there couldnt do it any better....

    Safe miles,
    Larry

There are days when you can hit a tight spot in a lot on the 1st try, and then there are days that you can't get straight into a space that has 7 open spots! I've been trying to figure out if there is some kind of cosmic quota system, and you are only allowed so many make it look easy times per set number of tries. I just haven't figured out what the magic number is.

I've been doing this a while & I can tell you some days your mojo just disappears.

Having to switch from a spread to a group a bunch lately has me about totally confused.

My flight instructor once told me that a good landing is any one you walk away from.

If you can get it in the hole without hitting anything consider it a victory & move on to the next battle.

Oh Nana! The last time I tries to bak up a trailer with a bunch of dock monkeys watching... I knocked the cage off a spinach trailer!! LMAO!! And the Bossman made me help weld the blasted thing back together! I don't know what was worse, knocking it off with everyone watching, or trying to weld it back together with everyone watching!:biggrin_2559:

oh man do y'all just tickle me to bits!

To be honest.....nothing was right today. It was me. It was my birthday and I just hate them now. I was born on my Daddy's birthday and so until he died we shared the day. I just hate my birthday now.......it's lonely without him.

    I'm such a silly thing.

Not silly at all. Don't think of it as your birthday, but a day to think about good times with your dad.

No One is ever watching when you nail it perfectly... only when you get totally frustrated and barely get in in.
