He's AKA "Radio Ray" on another forum, and, spouts the same tired garbage. I'm betting he was an abused hall monitor in grade school. :smt025

Difference is, ham your using a call sign, and if you get too stupid, your likely to get reported. CB, everyone is anonymous for the most part, and every hillbilly who can grab a screwdriver calls himself or herself a cb tech. As a result we now have a slew of rogerbeep toys and annoying echo boards and goofballs bleeding over 3-30 channels min. All just to ramble about nohting. Meantime, someone is trying to get help, but no one can hear them. Thats not a problem on ham. CB would be fine again, if the jerry springer recruits would get off the cb and quit using it as a redneck cell phone, lol.

What about the magnum stryker radio?

If I stayed on the CB band just pumping out more power. I dont care about the 10 band, I just wanna get out further.

Id go with something other then a stryker personally. if your going to go that route, look at either a connex or general for more power. If you dont wander off band, you prolly will never have a problem, unless someone looks at your equipment. Just dont have it modded at a local cb hackshop, as they will turn it into a highpower splatterbox.

I already have this radio and am very happy with it. It swings big for what I need and is really clear. I left it in my pickup and took my cobra 148 with me on the road. It gets out "ok" but for sure not what I am used to.
