Been There Driver. What you described is good for regional drivers who want to burn the 70 hour clock and do a reset every weekend at home. ubfortunately most Fleets pay by the mile and if you are unloading and reloading everyday thats 4 to six hours wasted.

Thanks for question! The answer is "Not at this time", but they are working on it.
SRT has a EOBR (Electronic on-board recorder) made by Qualcomm and Paper Logs. The HOS on the MCP200 is non-fuctional but the GPS and Graphical interface is active. But we haven't been sucessfull at converting over to paper-less logs. We have to work out some logistical hang-up with the load planners. It seems the demands of our customers exceed the HOS parameters installed. Some of our drivers were exceeding the systems limits on the 11 and 14. Until we get the Shippers and Recivers on board I think it will be very difficult to convert. We are a Refrigerated Time Sensitive Freight company. Our customers demand faster service times for perishables. 700 mile days are common. Typical loads runs 1200 miles and we ususally run it in two days.

    knighton5 Thanks this.

Recruting students is a thing of the past! Now that so many drivers are looking for jobs we don't need to fish in CDL schools for drivers.

Home time is available where we haul loads. (Coast to Coast) but if you live in some remote isolated place it is unlikely SRT would hire you anyway. But we are in Cali and ATL everyday. Both are Hot Spots for us. So is Dallas/FW. I should refer you to SRT to answer more spefically. Getting Home has always been the weakness of this industry. Many OTR drivers have the Hometime issues. It depends on the freight! And really depends on where you live.

SRT is a family of thiefs and vultures preying on the unsuspecting driver who has no ideas of how a company will use every little company policy to screw with your money and record Take it from a veteran driver and one who knows your time will eventually come and you too will see SRT is the scum of the industry

how long have you and toni smith been dating! sounds like you spend more time behind a desk instead of in a drivers seat! maybe you should talk about all the BS and illegal activitys they subscribe to like forcing a driver into litagation without representation you know that little civil rights thing they make you give up to go to work there and how if you request a copy of all documents you sign are denied of
hmmm yeh a great communist regime ran by a gutless dictator who hides behind his little chronnies its all good though because sooner or later it will catch up with them its called carma and its gonna slap the blinders off of you someday

Dieselgator, I am sorry you had a hard time with this company
but all the time spent on this is going to give you a heart attack,
listen for 1200 let it go. move on, I was with you till you wrote
about pulling pins on drivers. there trying to make a living same
as you and for what ever reason SRT works for them. Pulling
a pin on a driver, dropping their load, makeing them miss hometime
with wife and kids, or causing a death. I question Your 23 years
and weather you were a good driver...
