I have a Blackberry Tour with Sprint's unlimited data MrMustard and I gotta tell ja, it is a major inconvenience to watch tv on it. 3g works ok, but if you're not in a 3g or 4g spot, it's slow as hell. Not to mention having to hold it up and keep those ear plugs in. Not worth it. I'll listen to Bill O'Reily on XM.![]()

I bought me one of those bunny ears that you put on the mirrors. then I mounted it on the front sun visor. Then I put 2 5.5ft Francis antenna on it. Now I don't loose signal. When I park 150 miles out from any real city I still get about 6 channels. I parked north of ####cago at Zion North Wind City got 58 channels. I parked in Dallas got 68 channels. Parked at San Antonio go 56 channels. Those are all just this week since I put those bigger antennas on.
Gears Thanks this. -
Can you post a pic of this antenna setup?

I ran the wire along the visor via zip ties. Then into the passenger door jam. Then into the back of the tv cabinet. Wanted to put it dead center but need some different brackets to mount it behind the visor. As I can not mount it in front dead cent due to it would block view of my running lights. Also I am not running any tv signal amp. I have been thinking about buying one though. I have found that just moving inside your same parking spot or moving 5 spots over will totally change how many channels you get. I parked one space over and facing the other way at the same petro today in san antonio after dropping my load and only got 26 channels.

American-Trucker and Gears Thank this. -
#### I got to remember to buy a noodle from walmart. those floaty things for in the pool. they have ones with holes in the center that would work great to cushion the edges of the cabinet rather then my cloth thing I got going on now. That or home depot for some foam pipe insulation. This truck was not designed for 24" but It fits so good lol.
Gears Thanks this. -

thank you its not how I really want it but you can only do so much in a company truck

- You got bunny-ear adapter plate and screwed in 2 Francis CB antennas. Then you have a coax running from the bunny-ear adapter to the back of a digital-ready TV right?
- In the san Antonio test you got 26 channels in one spot and 56 by moving to a different spot? Do you happen to note how many were digital verses VHF verses UHF?
- If somebody pulls in next to you, have you seen it lose signal or any channels?
- Have you done a test whereby you change the direction that your truck is facing to see if it is "directional?" Like more or fewer channels by which direction your are facing in the same spot?
-
Yeah, that's more channels than basic cable. I'd be happy just with good reception on network channels. I'm putting in an antenna today (hopefully). We'll see what happens.

It is directional. I will get more or less depending on how I face. I am now directly across from the same parking space facing towards it and only got 35 channels. It doesn't seem to affect me if someone parks next to me as I all ways park just a hair forward of them. So far with this setup i have been getting amazing results that are surprizing even to myself. I put the longer antennas on to try to get them above the roofline when sitting still hoping that would cure the signal loose when someone drives by. I has so far. But I do get a blip of no signal once in a while. But the same thing happens at home and their is no trucks are anything coming between that antenna as it is 75' in the air mounted on top of the barn. I still want a sat dish system so I can get all my Vikings games
