I just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I got my Cdl back and applied to

JustSonny Thanks this. -
There was no work for me on the 3rd, but I got a load on the 4th. I went up to Poland Spring, ME to pick up a bottled water load (live load) which delivered to a Costco in Clifton, NJ the next afternoon (pd miles-491). It was so hot in New Jersey, the Costco parking lot had melted. I was glad to get out of there, not just to escape the heat, but I was afraid the ashpalt would get so hot it would suck my truck in and not let me out
.
After Costco, I went to Wharton, NJ to get a preloaded trailer going to Indianapolis, IN on Wednesday morning (pd miles- 707). That was a drop. From there, it was over to Nashville, IL for a live load going to Mazda in Olive Branch, MS (pd miles 507), which is where I am now. Swift told me the delivery appt was for 0800. The lady in the office here said I was scheduled for 1000.So I wait.
I am preplanned on a load from Memphis, TN to Front Royal, VA (pd miles 816). It's supposed to be a live load at the shipper and a drop at the consignee.
P.S. Hey, REDD, there could have been lots of reasons for getting a nickname like REDD. Maybe you're the shy bashful type who blushes a lot. That's how Pink got her name after all. And I can't speak for you being a "good lookin feller" since you had your sunglassses on the whole time.Rattlebunny, REDD and JustSonny Thank this. -
Quick update: turns out I wasn't scheduled for 1000. I actually wasn't scheduled at all. This is happening too often. So I just called the "quality assurance feedback hotline" and left a message about this. Somebody is dropping the ball when it comes to making appointments.
The customer was willing to try to squeeze me in. I've got my fingers crossed. I can't blame them if they can't do it, though. It's not their fault- it's Swift's fault. And I'm getting sick of it. Once I can understand, but twice? Barely a week apart? It's just ridiculous.JustSonny and Rattlebunny Thank this. -
1nonly, great thread! I just finished reading from the first page and like a great book, I didn't want to get to the last page.
