I was gonna say the same thing not only does it torque the kingpin but the tandems as well. I know if you have slid tandems you know what it is like to try to get them released with pressure against the pins![]()

Just curious, has anyone ever caught someone tampering with a tractor-trailer?
Criminal charges should be filed on these monkeys! The intent to cause bodily harm is sure present. -
As another driver doing it to someone. He's creating the potential for a catastrophic accident, it's not a JOKE! And he knows what he's doing.
Hang 'em high in the public square!!
No, I've never caught someone doing it. But 3 things I'd do,
1. Light up the cell phone and call 911
2. Make sure the driver, [victim] knows about it.
3. Jump on the CB, and let the world know as well. Who knows, maybe between myself and other real drivers, the fool could be contained until LEO arrives, assuming he was to last that long!luvmytruckcake and NDBADLANDS Thank this. -
johnday Thanks this.

My question is why does Swift have the handle on the passenger side? Same for the landing gear.

Ya made me think for a second, I wonder what the TSA, Homeland security, might think!! Don't get me wrong, I don't want/need, anymore government intervention in our lives. But just throwing that out.
NDBADLANDS Thanks this. -
Good question, I've no clue!!

He just shrugged his shoulders.
I know it is our responsibility to make sure it locked, I was just surprised how easy access the handle was to anyone. This is just one of the many, many things that have "surprised me" about my choice of career change. lol
