OOIDA ran a good article recently about some law suits, and the difference between LLC and Incorporated. As a result of the suits, they said that your gona see many companies refusing to deal with you unless your incorporated. Has to do with Labor taxes, unemployment, and a O/O being considered a subcontractor versus an Employee. So I would suggest researching this before you go the LLC route. Call them, and ask them for a copy of the article, I used to be a LLC, and I am going to Incorporate, it is just better in the long run, despite the additional cost and paperwork.

I have researching absolutely everything I can think of. And some things I just can't find answers too, and some things I would like driver input on.
I am obviously going to be getting a truck. On the "paperwork" side of things I am wondering a few things.
I will be leasing on with Landstar when I get approved. (I won't be getting a truck until I know I am approved) And I know they pay for the plates, permits, and insurance upfront, with you paying them a certain amount each week starting on week 5.
1) The insurance, do they provide all the insurance I need? Or is there something I still need to get on my own?(or anything i need on my own outside of insurance) (including the time I have to drive the truck to the orientation, before I officially sign the lease)
Now for the actually truck.
I am getting concerned about wheelbase. I want a nice sleeper. My parents have a 96" sleeper, but it is on a straight truck, and that is not what I will be doing. But I do feel like 96" is the smallest I would want to go for me and my wife. So, the bigger the sleeper, the bigger the wheelbase. And I am trying to get an accurate idea of REALLY how much harder can a truck with a wheelbase around 280" be to drive and maneuver? I am going to toot my own horn and say I am good at backing and making tight moves if I must, so is this something I should be worried about?
Now about the sleeper itself. I REALLY want a sleeper that I can stand up in, and I am 6'3". Will Mid-roofs work? Or am I into the hi-rise already?
Also, I see there are all different sorts of sleeper "brands" I guess you could say. What I am truly looking for, and would take less than a 96" sleeper if it was in there, is a sleeper that includes a fold up bottom bunk where a table and bench seating would be, or no bottom bunk at all. And a built in refrigerator. That's the minimum.
Is there a certain brand or something I should be looking for?
As I come up with more questions, I will post them, unless I find them covered extensively elsewhere. -
It sounds like this is what you want.

That listing just looked to....well....dirty....I guess....and was 30K for a 96'. I've seen way better deals than that one so far.
But I'm really glad you showed me that.
I have seen a few of these Double Eagle sleepers and they are all like that...so maybe Double Eagle is what I should be searching for.
I'm going to have to look up a definition of all sleeper types I think.....but for now the Double Eagle search is on!
