-
There a few companies and even some mom and pop operation. There swift, rohel, warner and I think it either england or knight that has flatbed to.
-
on a run from laredo to portland oregon, shut down in monticello,UT today, as i pulled in a guy sad he now has seen it all, swift hauling flat bed, i chatted with him for a bit then told him swift started out as a flatbed company.
He said he never saw a swift flatbed since 1985,when he started driving! -
Hey driver I would like to see a pic of your Swift truck hooked up to a flat trailer if you don't mind.
schmud0811 Thanks this. -

with a load of frame rails, soon to be western stars or military freighliners, i have to get down to arizona to get the tanks, and stacks polished
alex94, Civilservant and Wyldfyur Thank this. -
Thanks that is a gorgeous truck I see Swift put the sleeper extenders on their flatbed trucks now they didnt use to do that before. Truck looks great is that the normal 70inch sleeper or smaller? Im hoping to join Swift soon and I hope I get a Columbia over the Volvo and Prostar.
-
actually they cut the sleepers by about a foot and extended the frames so we can haul 60 foot steel on a 48 foot trailer without a permit....i actually had to rip a cabinet out to make room for a cooler, their is no cooler slot, I hand polished the rims and battery box while sitting in laredo forever waiting on frieght..to give swift credit it wasnt their fault the bridge was flooded out
If you get a choice i would pick a columbia, if your going flatbed the older columbias have bigger sleepers -
That stinks that they shortened your sleeper guess they gave you the slepeer extenders and took more room when on the road you need all the room you can get. If I go I would go otr van division. Unless you can give me a good reason to choose flatbedding. Maybe more miles see more of the coutry
