Congratulations on the test. Your situation sounds similiar to mine. I am still working in my original industry, but the end is coming sooner or later. Not going to make it to retirement.
I am curious, if you don't mind me asking, what made you pick truck driving as your next career?

Well kept seeing all the job ads in the paper was the main reason. I always had a facination for driving big trucks and I figured since I been a good driver all my life I could probably do it with no problem if I went in with the right attitude.
Some people are tripping over the word Professional for some reason like I expect to walk out and not make any mistakes. I am a rookie but I did what was required to be called a professional but I realize I still have a lot to learn about trucking. No different than being called a professional baseball or football player but only being in your first season as a rookie. Now if I called myself a SuperTrucker that would indeed be grounds for a bashing
. Anyway I didn't mean to vent but it was bugging me a bit and thats the last I will say about that.

If you think about trucking its one of those jobs that there will always be a something thats gonna be a new experience. It may not happen everyday but you will always find or learn something new no matter how long you been doing it. There are so many variables that can happen. There are prolly people who have been driving for years that never experienced a blowout on one of the steering wheels at 65mph and even if you did I bet you had to change your shorts
. Anyway I need to get ready to watch 24 and CSI:Miami.
