I'm heading for Transport America Wed. for orientation, so I'll update next week with the truth about this company. Personally, the pay is great for a new driver like me(6 mos. experience) at .34/mi. plus another .04 for hazmat. I worked for the demons at CRST driving teams starting at .22/mi. and after 6 mos. hitting .31/mi. Then, the miles went to nothing. I'm grateful for this company to give me a chance and glad I got out of team driving alive!

MustangDave, where are you going to orientation at?
-
MustangDave - keep us posted on how you like this company. I am looking for a place to land after school is out in October.

I have been with TA for 1 yr...average miles per week...2700!! Thats right 2700 and home every other weekend!! The loads are there if ya want to get off your butt and run them!!

All companies with the Qual Com all said above is right. I was going down hill loaded,
went over the speed (62mph) and all the lights and beeps came on and pulled over to
see what happen and showed speeding lol Oh well big brother is looking at you 24/7. Electronic logs are bad, close to your 14 and trying to get to a truck stop, after being delayed at a food place unloading and no where to park, it starts the count down on HOS. I got hit on 20 minutes. The electronics are a mess right now
for us 20 yr plus dricvers, set in our ways lol -

All companies are about the same, run the same area and the same frieght. I would not recommend Knight Trans. They do keep you hung up without pay, run hard and still would get more on unemployment. Nice Trucks / Blad Tires. Wreak tractors
Dispatch is great, but we are out there for the green stuff, not to look pretty at a customer's location. Been with them twice and had enough, going with TA. What I
see so far tops Knight. I taught at TDI which is a great school, and with Central Refrigeration, another good company but you need to run with a refer. Just look at
them all and decide Best to You

No lie back to back 2700 mile weeks, 3000+ the week before that! Set your pta for your delivery time even if you will only have a couple of hours left. 80% of the time my next trip is planned before I finish the one I'm on. Like I said before with TA if ya want to run they will run you!!
