Every once in a while u get one where u wonder wtf, but all it takes is a peoplenet message or a phone call to get it squared away. Yes all 48 states are the lanes we run. I've hit everyone since starting here. If there's an area I want to hit I just send them a message and soon I get that way.

That sounds pretty cool. They sound like a good company. Do you get to Md much? I was talking to a driver at the C&S warehouse in Aberdeen MD last week said he's here at least twice a month. Thats like 5 min. from the house. Is there a route you drive more often?
-
Just talked to a recruter said start at $.30 after 6mos. $.35 1 year $.40 amile that sounds pretty good. Do you know if all the trucks have APU's? Are they 10 speeds or autos? Hey thanks again. Your help is much appreciated.

There's no real route per say, once I'm in certain areas I'm pretty sure of where I will pick up next. MD quite a bit. We have a yard in Allentown so its a couple of hrs north.
I want to say yes all the trks have apu's. Both of mine have, since they are moving toward newer trks I'm thinking that all of them do. With the fuel savings it would make sense. I'm at our Atlanta area yard and all of the trks parked here do (walking the dog and I looked) -
Thanks . They're at the top of my list. I was reading earlier that a driver had a 1200 mile run with 7 stops. How much extra pay for each stop do you all get? If you don't mind me asking. Thats cool about MD. Do they route or do you do it yourself? Thats good to know about the APU's.Defenitly safes on fuel, my brother in law has one on his truck. How are the terminals? How do you like your KW? I heard they can be a little bit harder to back.

MD,
I didn't find a number for a recruiting department on Wel's website. Did you just call the corporate office? -
The number is 1-877-809-9356. good luck
andrew5184 Thanks this. -
Thanks man! I just spoke with a recruiter, and unfortunately, they don't hire out of NE Oklahoma. Shucks!

Higgie, Does WEL pay for your toll fees? How do they pay them? Do they reimburse you or do you have a pay-pass card?
Thanks. -
Just send in the toll receipt and they put it on ur check. We have E-Z pass.
LTL loads are $30 a stop, minus the 1st and last stop if I recall correctly. Haven't had a big one in a while. Last one was 15 stops over 3 days.
There is no routing. U get the p/u and del the rest is up to u. I have GPS I use for reference but still break out my maps.
The trks are nice, haven't really noticed any back aches. It was hell on my arse for bit until I remember the seat adjustment to move the cushion. Was in pain for a couple of weeks and couldn't get comfortable. Then felt like an idiot after remembering.
The Terminals overall are ok. Plymouth,Wi, and Idaho Falls,Id are basically just hubs with parking areas. Nothing really there. Allentown, Irving, Joliet, Winter Haven, McDonough and Joliet are used for storage, shipping and receiving plus parking. There are showers and drivers lounges. Modesto is the same but I've never looked in the showers or driver lounge, not even sure if they have one honestly. Been there a dozen times but usually just dropping something rejected off or long enough to clean out my trailer. De Pere is pretty nice, but thats also the corporate office so u expect that.scottied67 Thanks this.
