TMC Orientation on the 22nd

There was a TMC recuiter that gave a presentation at my school last week. He said the company had lowered the age to 21 a few days prior. So it's my understanding that yes, they're 21 and up now

 

That probably makes them one of the few that will hire <23 then. I remember a young married couple that were in the same "school" as I. He was 24, she was 21, and at that time the only place they could find that would hire them (due to her age) was Covenant. They intended to team drive.

Well, now that I think back on that... they insisted on training at the same time; they may have actually been joined at the hip, or something like that, which prevented them from being separated... THAT may have been a large portion of their problem.

It was miserable enough for me training. Two large men, in one truck which seemed to shrink just a little every day. I just can't imagine putting 3 fully grown adults into that small of a space for... any amount of time over a few minutes, let alone several weeks.

 

Thanks because being 19 going to be 20 in augest i'm kinda limited for my options so And I love what people has said about TMC and I didn't want to wait almost 4 years before they would consider me i'm just going to drive for my grain eleavtor that I work for now just to pass the time buy and most people driveing for them is not consider any driving experiance but also when I do try to go for TMC i would go as a student not a experianced driver.

 

its all insurance reasons.

there are small companies that will hire you. mine wont hire under 23, but there are. and they'll treat you a lot better than tmc.

I will never work for a company where i am a number instead of a name again.

 

I figuerd that I new that some insurance company have a age limits that there insurance only cover curtain ages but everyone keep on give out advise for someone that is just now getting into the workforce and wants to his own trucking company can can't soak up enough info from people.

 

Thank you Gator for your play by play for your first monthes at TMC. I will be graduating school next week. Provided I can make it past the S.O.S. examiner and I've been on the fence between TMC and Maverick. I have pre-hires with both and from what I can find both are good companies. Your insight has given me additional information to use to help me in my decision. Thank you again
