Cat woman check the air inlet to that Wabasto. Mine would over heat internally and shut down. It had plastic bags, and T shirt sleeves plugging it. It will burn me out now!

I had an espar heater in the prostar I drove this past winter. it would keep it at about 68* up in pa and wi which is where I ran all winter.

I'm somewhere in TN. Parked at shipper, will be the first one to p/up tomorrow morning. Thermometer says temp inside truck is 94 F... REALLY?? I'm getting used to this... Not iddling... first cause I don't like to idle (trepidation and noise disturbs the hell out of me...), second cause don't want to catch anybody's attention... My windows are closed all the way up for security... I'm trying to stay quiet here till my p/up tomorrow.... In times like this, an APU would be awesome!!! But I'm sure I'll leave this company before they install one in "my" truck. Almost bought a little fan last week... but I'm soooo cheap.... Well, summer will be over soon.... Then I'll try the bunk heater my dispatcher got me a couple months ago. Winter is a real killer for me...

Hey, I'll be a woose. I'll choose AC over sweating. I don't care if the planet melts away. I'll be gone by then anyway.
I'm tired of saving the spotted owl, snail darter and fairy shrimp.
    I'm starting a new cause:
    Save the Trucker!

Yah! Let's hear it for the stinkin' sweaty men folks! I will hoist my wheat beer in a toast to you, (as I hold my nose), and say, "Hail! Hail thee stinky mon! Mother Earth shall cry no more! :biggrin_25523:

I've been "melting away" ever since I hit the age of menopause. (why is it everything awful is named after MEN.....'Men-opause, Menstruation, MENtal illness..argh!)
Jeez, like we have the luxury of enjoying the simple pleasures of life, like a shower every day. I'm with you, friend, I'll proudly be a "wuss" too!
"Fairy Shrimp"??? Those tasty little buggers have a gender?

To all of the elected "officials" who are determined to drive us out of driving, I will pray for you all. I pray that your home A/C kicks out on you int he middle of the worst heat wave you ever had. I pray that your A/C belt breaks while you're sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the LA Freeway in the "dog days" of August.

I would keep praying but you know what they say, "Be careful of what you wish for." :biggrin_2559:

What's a "Wabasto"? I have an Espar bunk heater, and it didn't work worth a hoot, still woke up freezing my knoc---uh, knickers off. So, are you suggesting that I need to go to sleep wearing three pairs of long johns, two padded bras, and a T-shirt that goes to my knees.:biggrin_25511:
