It could also be said to be careful accepting a load you know has an impossible transport time. Im just saying.

Sometimes its cheaper to take a ###### load than to deadhead. I'm not an o/o though.

Not true. As a O/O if you pull a load you didn't make money on you wasted your time. You also cost me money because that freight MUST move and I would wait untill it payed. Don't buy your own truck because you will go hungry.

Thanks for being a dick about it. Makes me want to buy my own truck just to prove you wrong. I tell you what, that truck wouldnt move for any less than $1.50 a mile. I also wouldnt haul freight with it.

How can you say that? You have no clue what your costs are going to be!! So, you can't even put a number out yet.

Your post about hauling cheap freight tells me you should keep hanging on to the wheel of somebody else's truck. You are a company driver posting about hauling freight and rates you have no clue about. If you have credit go buy that truck and prove me wrong. I'm still laughing about the $1.50 per mile. Is that supposed to make me think you know what your doing?

To haul cheap freight often costs the o/o more than to just deadhead out. My experience is the azzhats who pay less want you to haul heavier loads and want fast service. Heavier load equals more fuel burned. You have to pay highway tax on loaded miles, waste your time at the docks on each end....and deal with the hassle of cleaning up after their cheap freight. Let it sit on that dock until the price comes up some.

    $1.50/mile??? :biggrin_25523:
