I had a beer load do that once, no dunnage to hold it in place in the 2 singles in the nose, and the one single that was hidden by a row of doubles. My co-driver and I had to restack the whole thing, lost about 70 cases...

We were Coors Dedicated until then, that was the load we got off it it. Between them telling us to restack 3 pallets (we smelled like a frat party) and them deciding to keep us out a week extra instead of sending us home "because you said the date wasn't important..." we left dedicated.

    JimBob24 Thanks this.

im at fort hall casino near pocatello. I need to pick up my potatoes at 1100 tomorrow in american falls.

I think i have time to squeeze in a 34 at the petro in York , NE. I hate doing 34s... dispatch knows my hrs and they'll give me some long emergency load to make me eat up all the hrs... happens every time!

3 pallets!!!?!?!! those arent small pallets either. If i remember from way back when i was unloading trucks at a distributor, 1 slipsheet of bottles was 70 cases and a slipsheet of cans was 120.

not in the days of the preloaded trailer! Now i dont think they will even let you on the dock for "safety issues". I COULD say something but that will become too political... and i hate politics. :biggrin_2559:

We used to haul Sierra Nevada Pale Ale from Ca to NYC all the time. It was always all over the place. Single cans scattered all over the place. They used to just put them in a flat with no lid or anyway to secure them. We would spend half a day restacking all of it! 1/4 of it always ended up OSD.

It sucks not being able to participate in the loading, but being the goat if there is a problem. AB still has you watch loading and unloading, but mostly now you are requested to remain in your truck for safety reasons. I guess "SLC" is what it is going to come down to, especially on preloads.
