I didn't read most of the posts on this, I admit. You really can't lump all drivers in one category. There are different types of trucking, which have different types of people in them. Certain sites have a "majority" of drivers from certain types of trucking. That's the best I can explain without insulting anybody.

HEY NOW! Speak for yourself here. Maybe you are not a (Nut Job) but those of us who are, are darned proud of it!:biggrin_2559:
Some of us really are in a position to post a bit more than others. I am retired, (actually twice over,) and seem to have a bit of time on my hands. I know there are others here as well. Yeah, I put in my time behind the wheel, and in other jobs and a career before that. I have fully EARNED the right to sit in front of my computer if I choose to do so.:biggrin_25522:

I dunno, I've seen some purtty good lookin' Bar Stool Setters. Particularly at closin' time.:biggrin_25525:

That's only because I went on a "posting" binge last night. My shame at being at less than 15 got the better of me. I feel so much better now!:biggrin_25523:

Well said, jmcnewbie!! I have no doubts you and your wife are going to do fantastic!!
Though hubby and I have only been together 4 years or so, we, too, are one of those couples who extremely enjoy each others company.
Although I no longer drive, I do travel with hubby. I do, however, sometimes get "closet fever", and must take a break for a few weeks....go home, kick back, spend time with family, live a "normal" life for a few weeks.
Then, I'm good to go for another year!! :biggrin_255:

I would wish ya'll luck, but I don't think ya need it, as ya'll are doing GREAT! I will say, "Stay safe, and keep those wheels turnin'!" :biggrin_25514:

Let me understand this a bit better...so you go home kick back and HE goes on working? Why not the other way around? Do you think if you don't keep HIM "in tow"....HE might go buy another FORD or something????:biggrin_25522: :biggrin_25525:

That's a sharp looking truck isn't it? Man that reefer unit (Carrier) is super quiet! This is at hotel city at Beach Street & I-820 on the north side of Ft. Worth, TX.

i hate to admit it, but for the most part sir you are right on the money..its really a shame though because in the day we drivers were respected..we took care of ourselves; our freight; and our rigs..people in town would wave at us when we drove through (and they left out the idiot finger). shippers and receivers alike showed us the same respect we showed them..it was a different truckin world..my Dad always told me that times never change, people do..how right he was..there are drivers out there whose rigs are fine and their homes are trash, go figure..one thing i believe is that the CB radio was the beginning of the end for respect in the truckin world..talking on the radio is far different than talking face to face..shakey1946 God Bless

You've answered your own question with your own words. I'm not sure how old you are...you sound like a young punk to me...but in life, you get respect when you give respect, and you certainally are not giving any kind of respect what-so-ever with this childish post. You talk to people like this face to face, and you will get your nose busted.
