Sure...California's east of the Rockies isn't it?
For every load that's picked up east of the rockies and delivered west, there has to be a corresponding load from west to east.
Stevens runs all 48. Plan on it.
Unless, of course, you're trying to get home time in South Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington...:biggrin_25511:

I appreciate you taking the time out to remind the rest of us who have been driving for less than 10 years how freight moves.

sorry I confused you, from the end of the trip to being paid is about a week, again it all depends on when I scan the load in at the truck stop that has transflow.

Example, Load delivered on Friday in LA, I have not scanned that load in yet, and will not until Tuesday, after finishing my present load. Scan on Tuesday, get paid on Friday, two Full business days after I scan. that is a full week after I finished the load. Present load, finish on Monday, scan on tuesday, paid on friday.

recruiters tell you what they think you want to hear....

Stevens is 48 states and Canada....

100's of stevens trucks go to Cally every week....

100's go into Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho....

does that sound like they try and stay east of the rockies???

Hi E. How often are you getting to the house in SD?

Actually, I don't have a house in SD. I am licensed there. We live in a motorhome and it moves all around. Right now, my wife is enjoying our grandchildren in Boise. In September, I'll move her to our daughter's place in Seattle where she will do the same. Then when things get colder, it's down to San Diego where another son and his wife live.
We haven't been parked in SD for about two years.
This is what comes after retiring, selling the house and touring in a motorhome for a few years.. too bad the economy smacked me in the butt!
    Back to work.
But to answer your question indirectly, I get home, where ever that may be for the month, every 5 weeks or so.

Sounds like a good setup you've got. I have a couple of buddies that were planning on retirement from IBM but postponed it because their 401K's and savings took a dump last year.

So I hear that Stevens restricts drivers from taking I-70 through Colorado? Im pretty sure that is only for Company drivers right? I like taking I-70 in the summer times..... Better than Donner's Pass I-80 into cali..lol

I70 from west of Denver to Grand Junction Colorado is OFF LIMITS to ALL Stevens Drivers. Same Rules apply to Owner OPs, Lease, and company drivers. Now if an O/O does not train, then his/her truck is not subject to being governed at 66mph. There may be some other rules that O/O do not have to follow, that I am unaware of.

Stevens pays the reroute miles to I40, or I80 to get to denver from Cally.

Donner Pass is a cake walk of a climb, and decline...just take it smart and easy, nothing like the grades coming down from vail or Eisenhower.

    KoolKid Thanks this.
