    Welcome to the Site:)

What do you want from the driver? To be able to ride with them or just ask them general questions?
What would a small fee be?
You could actually go to a truck stop in your area and offer to buy an old school trucker lunch for their story.

By the way, not many companys ran cross country in the 60's and 70's and the drivers from back than are more than likely in there late 60's and 70's there self or have ODed on Doan's pills by now.

What kind of info do you want? While not an expert on trucking in the sixties I have been around trucks since the early 60's. my dad was a mechanic and I started driving in the 70"s. My first truck was a 69 White

This could possibly be very labor intensive. You could spend hours going over the draft, over and over again, making sure you're "getting it right." Don't be afraid to get paid for your time.
