What happened with Whites? Did the daughter decide to bail out?

I've stopped at Peggy Sue's. Food is decent and its a 50's style diner. It was kinda small inside when I stopped there.

Sometimes you can google the truckstops and save some time looking.
But you have to take a chance to see if it's what you are looking for.:biggrin_25511:
But you may just find a gem just by useing the search engines.

Hey bigrigger, I haven't been up your way in a while but I can remember some good ones off of 94. I probably don't remember the names because the snow was too deep and usually covered the signs!

    BIG RIGGER Thanks this.

I always liked the Gay Johnson truck stops. Both the one on I-70 at Cameo, and the one on I-25 at Loveland.

And I'm sure that way back when, nobody would believe what the term "gay johnson" would indicate today.:biggrin_25513:

I used to hit the Russell in Springer NM quite often. But the last time I was in there, the place had gone way down hill.

Of course I haven't been to any of these in the last six years or so.

Yeah, Gay Johnson had a hell of a restaurant! We used to go across the street to the park and go swimming with the dog. Good place for a little fishing too! (the one on 70) Water was a tad bit cold though. Great memories there! Oh yeah Bigrigger I think it was the Bison. They also used to have some kind of Bison fried meatball thingy's! Makin my mouth water!

How bout the Pilot in Stockton? Yeah I know it sucks! Across the street though is a hole in the wall straight up gangster mexican restaurant! Unreal food. Also La Chaquita in Fontana off of Cherry. It is kind of across from the three sisters truckstop. Handsdown the best mexican food in the country! The "kiki's" steak and cheese burrito! I think most of you Central Ref drivers know what I am talking about. If any of you drivers are in that area please do yourself a favor and stop in there. There is room out front usually for a truck or two. If you bobtail from three sisters you can park in the parking lot. It is right next door to the conveince store on the corner.
