No kidding, WH. Monday should have been a clue as to how the rest of the week would go. Sheesh.

I have found through the years, that if a trip, load, or week, starts out with everying going wrong, it won't get any better.
I've owned trucks the same way. I would think, well, after this next repair, things should be good for a while. Nope. With some pieces of equipment it's something all the time, no matter how well you take care of it.Big John and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
Your not the first person to mention that about the equipment, Stranger. There must be something to it.
stranger Thanks this. -
Bullhauler's Wife, at the rate you're going there aren't going to be any places left you're willing to go to anymore!
-
I truly feel for you guys, and honestly don't know how you all put up with some of the crap that the shippers and receivers put you through.
But what really gets me, is that they won't be honest with you, when you get there. They won't tell you how long its going to be, so that you can plan your 10 around their schedule.
I called this place the day before, confirmed that the pickup number was good, etc. I asked about wait time, and I got the "yeah, you might have a little wait". 12 hours is little??? -
Highside, how did your beanmeal come off?
-
Throw the weeks schedule out the door with that kind of wait
.Sorry to hear that, maybe you'll get a high paying load to finish the week off
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Two hours for each hopper and three hours for each pneumatic. There were three pneumatics in front of us and two hoppers when we got there. One pneumatic was in the hole loading.
There was another guy there getting a different product, and he said that it takes them 6 hours to load his truck with that special product.
They ran out, while loading us, and had to wait to grind more.
Some of these places are just selling loads that they can't get out rapidly. And its the O/O's and drivers that suffer.dairyman Thanks this. -
Yep,inventory is a thing of the past anymore.Everybody wants to have the product sold before they make, process or blend it. NO PRE-PLANNING. I was talking to a feller in the soy-hull line in Owensboro last week that said he usually went to Ok. during harvest to make some extra cash, but he said the lines were so long and the pits were so slow that he just went back to Ohio 'cause he couldn't turn enough loads/day to justify staying
. I can't even order a simple part for the truck or even the farm tractors without waiting 3 days. What makes me mad is they tell ya ''we can get that in for you tomorrow''
