    Me either, ours is 13%.

30% is too high even if your leased on. 30% of 30,000 is $9,000. It doesn't take $9,000 to plate and insure a truck and the load for a month.

Your getting one heck of a cut for booking loads. :biggrin_2558:

    Exactly!

You're takin' 30% and not doing anything but bookin' loads!
It's a good deal for YOU....But the truck owner that's doing all the work, Paying all the bills, Taking all the risk and wearing out his truck is takin' it in the shorts!

It's a bad deal for the O/O any way you try to paint it....Keep tryin' to explain it though because the more you try to explain it the worse it looks!

A broker should not get any more than 10% max off loads booked.

Since you are paying liability, cargo, fuel card, billing loads, and hopefully filing fuel tax, even if the O/O has to pay for the tax, and paying within 14 days, and this is hopefully whether you get paid or not, an 80/20 split sounds more reasonable, since the O/O is using their own trailer.

BTW, how do you handle a non-paying customer? Is the O/O going to take a hit on that?

To a point...But all I see is another parasite trying to fleece the O/O out of his hard earned cash and it pisses me off!
The sad thing is...There'll be a bunch of know nothings with their "Select Trucks" and "Arrow" specials beating a path to his door thinkin' that this is some kind'a great deal because of the $20,000 to $30,000 a month tease! Never mind that when it's all said and done they'll never see much of that money at all.

I'm running under another carrier's authority right now... I get 97% hauling his freight and 92% through a third party...I pay IFTA, IRP, liability, cargo, property damage and bobtail.

I remember when a broker would only take 5% of the load and advance you 50% of the load with no fees...

Having been a 1st party witness to many many scam emails over the years this person's style of writing, spelling and lack of proper punctuation and sentence structure reads just like many of those emails.

Has any one looked up the name of that company to even see if its legit?
