    Gas Hauler, you forgot to mention "The Ridge Route" was actually 3 lanes, 1 lane in each direction plus the middle lane for passing. Talk about scary, if you wanted to pass, you "peeked" out to see if the middle lane was available and then went for it, hoping like hello no one was just about to do the same thing coming the other way. :walk:

    Sure goes back doesn't it? I remember my Father telling me of drivers that would pull the throttle knob out and get out and stand on the running board and steer through the window because it was so hot. The big engine back then was the 220 cummins then 290 with the turbo. I guess you can do that when you creep along about 5 mph!!
