ill be in harrisburg pa on monday for orientation with swift...im coming in experienced..so let me ask this. how does your wife feel about you being otr or would she want you home every night? then you got to look at your expenses on the road, as far as food goes mainly....

 

A wife? Forget OTR... unless she will drive team. Then put all your stuff in storage and go tear up the highway.

Pepsi is AN answer maybe not the right one. Take the Pepsi job and keep looking.
NOTE: OTR companies will not recognize Pepsi driving experience.
Scrap metal roll off trucks are another good local gig if you are near a port.
Containerized garbage/cardboard etc is another area to look.
Armored car? Document shredder? Lots of alternatives to OTR.

 

Pepsi, However your going to be loading and unloading, store route. Or is this between the bottling plant and warehouse.

If you can handle the work Pepsi by far is the superior offer. Get hurt at Pepsi and be set for life, just joking... But check out what they expect.

Pepsi of course..Home everyday..probably off the weekends..Being home in your own bed every night beats a long 3-4 weeks on the road in a truckstop anyday! And you'll have steady work.Someone's always buying a case or 2 of Pepsi..Knowing what I know now..I'd go the Pepsi route..That's my .02!

 

You would be hard press to find a company that has no ex-drivers with axes, if you know what I mean.
