So my Cascadia with a DD15 now has 440,00 miles on it.
Still has the rough idle thing going on. Detroit cant seem to find a fix for it.
Wondering if anyone else has same problems with the DD15 of has found a way to fix this issue.
Also notice a slight surge/hesitation when getting on the power sometimes, not sure if this is linked to idle problems. They don't know
Also still rough idles if I kick rpm's up to 900...
On a brighter note fuel mileage is still over 6.8mpg running close to 80,000 all the time.
Apart from the rough idle I am still real happy with the performance of this truck.
Detroit DD15 Rough Idle with no fixes yet.

I've heard that it is almost always the ecm. You can get a shop to put on a test ecm to see if it fixes the problem

One jake solenoid playing up , valve clearances are the most common fault with dd15 idle characteristics but I,m sure the shop would have checked that- mcm calibrations for idle speed control values tells you whether your injectors are still within the values controlled by the mcm - the list goes on for the proceedures to check for your complaint - Have they given you a list of tests and checks that they tried ?

They just dont know what is is... -
So I got the rough idle fixed...
Turns out Detroit now have a fix for it.
Took Detroit mechanic a while to install, but under warranty so all is good.. -
What was it?

Ok asked the Detroit Guy what is was.. there is a control valve on the engine somewhere, that is what was replaced.
