Waylon Jennings got off the plane for either the Big Bopper or Richie Valens they were all killed.Jennings was Holly's bass player. -
Buddy Holly, Randy Rhoades, Otis Redding, and others that I just cannot think of off the top of my head.
Bus crashes took out a good chunck of Skynyrd and the bass player from Metallica. There were probably others that met this fate too, but can't think of any more right on the spot.
Drugs/alcohol took Phil Lynot, Bon Scott, Tommy Bolin, and countless others. -
A bus crash wasn't Skynyrd's issue. Their plane crashed in the swamps of Mississippi because the pilot mis-judged their fuel consumption for stormy weather.
Cliff Berton did die is that bus crash though.
