Thanks for that info. I was starting to get worried about that. I have no problems getting down and moving around under the trailer in my own fashion. I have an old basketball injury to my left knee that returned ( probably age related). But, I am going to still get into an exersize program. I've been at home now for 4 months since I lost my job and am getting very much out of shape.

OK I probably should read through U2's Training thread but I just read through this one and I have a quick question I hope can be answered. I want to go to Prime in October and being female and having been through an all guys school right out of high school to me a mechanic being around guys all day I can handle. I'm just curious if Prime requires female students to train with female trainer/instructors or can I train with one of the guys?

I know I can ask my recruiter when I actually get in touch with him. But I thought I would throw the question out there and see if one of you nice gentlemen can tell me.

 

Scheduled for orientation in Sept. Can someone give me a heads up as to what to expect in the 4 day orientation? Also would like to thank IP, U2 and everyone else as your posts have made Prime an easy choice for the training required to get back onto the road.

 

smurfette i dont believe that they require you to train with the same gender,i am pretty sure that you are matched up with someone who has the same smoking preferences that you do. to be totally accurate though if you have not talked to a recruiter that would be a question to be asked.

also on the duck walk is just a few steps. i did it with no prob and I am 270lbs.

 

I am suposed to go Sept 15th is what Tiffany said however that is a Wed. I thought I read on here somewhere the orientations started on Tue. She may have just looked at the calender wrong. I am supposed to call her in about a week and talk some more.

 

well if your going to be starting on the 27th I will be there to.

 

Thanks, that's good to hear. I'm 6'5" and weigh 235. It's a long way to the ground for me. Got a DOT Phys. from my doctor today. He thinks I'm in good shape. Hopefully the DR at Springmo thinks the same. I still don't have a date for my trip to SpringMo. That's OK as I have a lot of things to do here at home before leaving the wife alone here.

 

i may be mistaken but i think o/o or lease people start on Tuesdays.if you are company you start on wed at the campus inn which is where orientation is.dont be late for anything at orientation also if you have any medical issues bring all medication and letters from your doctor if need be.it will speed up the process of getting you with your trainer.
