I have a 95 5ek motor that i need to change the ppm to correct the speedometer that reads fast 2 to 3%. I went from 24.5 lp to 22.5 wide singles 501rpm to 516rpm. So do I raise the ppm 3% or lower them?

I know this nob question, but I don't want to fry this ecm guessing.

Thanks for any help you can give.

To get correct PPM you multiply 516 by your rear gear ratio and then by the number of teeth of your speed sensor gear.

If memory serves me the average ( or standard) number is 16 for the chopper wheel teeth

516 tire revolutions per mile x 16 teeth on the speed tone ring in transmission x gear ratio in rears = PPM
