Called Swift today just to feel out the company a little, and after hour on hold decided I would hang up. Never did get to talk with a real person, just automated system over and over letting me know I was on hold and someone would be with me shortly.
Anyone else have this issue. Called the 866 number listed on there website.

Yea, I had one of their drivers hit my truck at the local truckstop. I was away but the driver was cool in that he did the right thing and reported what he did. The local police dept called me to say my truck had been hit. Swift never did call me to inform me that their driver hit my truck. It wasn't too much damage but tore the hood up and took out the passenger side mirrors. This happened on a Saturday night and I had to leave out Monday morning. Swift has a terminal here in KC and all I asked them to do with give me one of their hoods lyeing around and some mirrors and that I would replace the stuff myself. I was gonna have the truck painted later the month anyway so I wasn't too upset about it, especially considering the driver was honest, when he could of easily snuck away since the truckstop is barely used. They would put me on hold, promise to call back etc, etc all Sunday but never got anything done. So since my load was now gonna be delayed a few days, meaning p/o the customers and loosing revenue, I took the truck to the Dealer on Monday and racked up the biggest bill I could. They paid me back pretty quickly but they could of saved a lot money, and my time had they just let me go over to Edwardsville terminal and get the parts to fix it that Sunday morning. Sorry for the long winded response, but to answer your question....yes.

Called again this afternoon, and after ten minutes actually got to speak to a real person that put me on hold just as soon as she took my call..
A few minutes later she takes my call once again and starts by asking me several questions that I swear she was reading from some sort of script. After her questions, then I finally had my chance to ask my questions.
From all that I have read here on this forum I decided to go ahead and fill out the online application, and supposed to call the recruiter back tommorow. -
What rerun posted is going to be your entire experience working for them! Go for the companies that aren't advertising. This means their driver turnover rate is lower which equals happier drivers working for them.

Made a couple more calls, and CR already called me back trying to get me to pack my bags and head to the mormon promise land. Asked out the school outside Chicago, but was told had to go to SLC. Tried several times to call my assigned "recruiter" at Swift today but guess she does not want to talk with me.

Man, these are all signs from above that you just aren't picking up on! Someone is watching over you and you are not paying attention. Stay away from these companies! If you want to go to Salt lake, I recommend Central. Otherwise start looking for the companies that aren't advertising. This means their driver turnover rate is low and their drivers are happier working for them. Hell you live in GA! You have got your pick of any company you want! Look for some good mom and pop outfits. There are a lot of good ones in GA! This is just my personal advice to you. I have been driving for over 14 years and seen the ins and outs of different companies and how they are structured. Your Swifts and Englands run strictly on disposable newbies that do not know anything about the trucking world. They do not care who they hire because it is cheaper for them to just keep hirin and firin then to get good drivers and pay them. Mrfasttrack, if you are serious about your career in trucking I would really think twice about this. Like I said if you have your heart set on morman land I recommend Central. They also have a terminal in Atlanta. My wife and I drove for them for several years and did really well. Welcome to the forum and good luck!
Big Don Thanks this. -
Thanks for the welcome. Heart not set on mormon land since they legally dont allow multiple wifes anymore.
Dont have any otr just local, and decided I would check around what was available right now.Have made 5 calls so far, those are the only two that have responded.
