I was told for people that need to go with a trainer it starts on Mondays so I chose the 27th of September. I have a long list of things to do before I start.

Thanks lilrobby. No medical issues to worry about. I am waiting on my certified copy of my birth certificate to get here I think the ex-wife ended up with the original lol. I am definitely going company. Haven't driven in 13 yrs so I have a lot to remember and learn as well. Being from Illinois is a pain in the rear because you have to retest to get your CDL transferred over but, the recruiter said they would send me through here with the trainer so that was cool that they are willing to go to that trouble. Thanks again for the info.

I'm not 100% sure on this. When I trained 4 years ago, I was sent out with a female instructor, and was lined up to go with a female trainer when my instructor decided she wanted to keep me. We do have very few female trainers, and many of the male trainers don't take females because of the liability issues with sexual harassment. I remember a female posting on a board last year that there was a waiting list for a female trainer that was over 6 months long, unless you had a trainer you wanted to go with lined up already. But as you realize, the best answer to this question lies with recruiting.

Ka5pfb The duck walk with Dr. A is no big deal.. The exam rooms are 8' to 12' with a table in the corner and the stuff to examine you is hanging on the wall and the Dr. ask you to squat and waddle... No big deal. I hope this helps. Thanks. TD.

Smurfette, I was just in SpringMo. and there were 2 trainers there with their trainees and the trainers were male with female trainees, They looked like they were in their initial training for their CDL with your mechanics skills you will do well with the pre trip and post trip inspections. I wish you well it is a great place to be trained and to drive. Take Care Td.

If you do decide to come to the prime school, I would suggest that you study the state of Missouri's regs. as well, I'm not sure where they will issue your license, If you decide to go to GCC which I would highly recommend you can test out by their instructors. Take Care I should be around a bit more now that my trainer allows me to use his computer..

P.S. If you can't get in touch with your recruiter you can call mine, risti at 6644 she was GREAT!!! Thanks. TD

I didn't hear from my recruiter this week either. I hope something hasn't happened to their CDL program. He said that they had suspended the school for now but said that they should start back up next month. I hope that does happen. I'd hate to start researching CDL training again.

K5 hang in there there are folks dropping worse thrn flies as this isn't a walk in the park We went in on wednesday and by Thursday afternoon there were about 30 guys sent home for various issues, IE lieing about what happened at their last job or whatever if i can stress anything I would suggest that you be completely honest with everything you tell them, If there was an issue with anything in your life they can and will find it, I told them about a minor arrest as a youth(under 18) for stupid stuff that the judge completely dropped and they said "We appreciate that, we saw that and wondered if you would report it" they just want good honest people and if there is anything that would make them think anything less that person will be headed home. I'm totally happy with my choice of picking Prime for my initial job, I appreciate all that have said anything about them. I highly recommend it. Thanks. TD.

:biggrin_25514:Correct me if I am wrong but does'nt your license have to be from your home state??? Hey TD how you doing my friend. Pretty hard to sleep in that truck is'nt it. I almost had enough the other day, these roads are rough. Woke up and had to throw up. I honestly do not know how teams do it. I am giving it my all to get through this training period. I have a great trainer makes it a little better. I enjoy driving and like Prime as a whole. Just cannot sleep :biggrin_25510: I am really looking forward to going solo trying to learn as much as possible as fast as possible in hopes of getting out on my own a little early. Not sure if they do that but just in case I want to be ready:biggrin_25514:
