ya i can understand that.
im going to look it up but the thing i dont understand is what do you do if your hauling down the highway and it happens that you decide to follow with some other trucks or vice versa? or is it just that you must keep a certain distance so its not considered a convoy?
What's the word for a group of trucks following eachother

Most of the description are really funny. But if I say more I may appear to be guilty of something I maybe guilty of.
I think that considering the number of drivers around here and the mileage most have covered that most would have been involved with interesting situations that may have involved high speed follow the leader.
I would not call it a convoy because that is a Hollywood term made for the fast trucks that used to run produce coast to coast, Just in normal Hollywood style they over glamorized situations making them worse than reality.
High speed traveling does not necessarily involve tailgating or even dangerous maneuvering thru traffic. People I have run with we would stay fairly docile till most of the solo trucks were fast asleep in the truckstops and the motorist were tucked into bed. Then there are times when your running with a few trucks where everything clicks, and the fun begin . But thats as far as I'am going to go with descriptions, but, nothing I have ever been involved with had any incidents with the law, or accidents of any kind, just good ole boy fun..Last edited: Aug 20, 2010
