I talked with Ronnie and got her direct number. She asked me to call her back after I put my app in. I did so within a half hour later. I got voice mail and left a message. I gave it about 2 hours and called back a few more times to just get voice mail. Im sure I will get a hold of them on monday (im guessing they have weekends off), Im just anxious to get the ball rolling. Been on unemployment for almost 4 weeks now and im bored senseless. I want to work lol.

Yes I would be going to the buffalo course as well. She gave me no details about it other then to say it was in buffalo. She did tell me that they do not provide housing there. Im not sure if that is true or not. Its ok by me as I am from buffalo and still have some friends I can stay with while there.

I put down on my app that I am available on the 5th. Perhaps we will be in the same class. If you havent already then I suggest picking up a CDL manual at your local DMV. I have already started reading and studying it. It will give a headstart once we get to class, to already be ready for the permit test.

I was also told that there is no housing provided in Buffalo. I've got a friend there that I will be staying with. The address I was given for the training is right near the airport in Niagara.

I picked up the CDL manual earlier this week and been studying it every day. I know exactly how you feel wanting to get the ball rolling and not being able to get a hold of anyone. Call back Monday, and don't wait for them to call you back. I haven't had any luck getting call backs. Just wait a few minutes and try again. Good luck. Hope to see you on the 6th.

I don't know whom they employ to research, but they did uncover some things that my former classmates did not divulge. The rumor was they used the same system as the Canandians. It is far more detailed than the standard Police Check. Discuss this matter completely with your recruiter and if in doubt talk with the Security folks. Don't waste your time with a Greyhound round trip. It will also cost $100 non-refundable that you cough up before anything happens.
Might be embarrassing, but why not avoid further pain?

they arent as sealed as people think. "Sealed" when it comes to criminal history only means that they cant use those records to prove habitual criminal behavior in future court cases after the age of 18. Employers still have access to them.

well in their defense (not that i want to defend them), there was a message on our Qualcomm saying that they are looking to hire some recruiters for SLC if we knew anyone... :biggrin_25523: best i can say is to keep trying to call back maybe once or twice a day.

blahhh !!! our AC hose broke and there is no sense of communication amongst the Central offices. OTR in WVC doesn't communicate with Conley, but they told us to send in a Mac33 to let them know what parts we needed and our ETA to their shop. (oh, we r under a load btw). get to shop and they haven't gotten the msg yet. :biggrin_2556:
msg'd DM, request for a repower. DM answers, "no, sorry". (exact words) msg DM again and explains issue. DM answers, "why only now are you telling anyone this". okay, never mind the fact that i was msging our DM, OTR, and numerous repair facilities ALL DAY YESTERDAY and relaying the msg's back to Central. :biggrin_25521: seriously, if they can bother u all day with "did you know's" and "safety tips", u'd think that someone actually stopped to READ some of the urgent msg's we send to communicate our problems ?? nah !! oh and i think they need to learn how to read past msgs because they keep asking the same questions over, and over with each person u talk to. so, here we sit, on our 10hr break, unable to sleep and dreading the drive south to AL to deliver this load, 200 mi's away at 0715, because when we requested a repower at approx. 1500 today we got a "no, sorry". (clown probably didn't even ck if someone avail. was in the area). easy to do i guess when u'r sitting in u'r cushy princess chair in the AC and somehow forget that our vehicle/office/bed is not quite as accomodating as u'rs right now. oh well, just carve another notch in the 'ol "I'M SO OVER THE ########" and "I CAN CERTAINLY FIND SOMEONE ELSE WHO COULD APPRECIATE MY EFFORTS" post. :biggrin_25523:

actually pumpkin's lease/purchase doesnt look too bad. certainly better than Central's. if they pulled skateboards then i would probably consider it if central gets rid of me for some reason or my current contract is done.
