to be honest...me, my DM and the planners out of Edwardsville, KS., we all work great together. Why? Because they know i'll run my tail off. Because they know i'm a hard driver (not one of these drivers who gets a t-call load, and gets it there 'sometime the next day'....where i'll get it there ASAP, even if that means i drive into the early morning) and they know i'd rather roll than sit. They know i'll do those 60 mi runs, but they also know that if i scratch your back, you had better scratch mine. We all work together great, because we all know it is a team effort. Memphis on the other hand, i've given a fair chance to, and its obvious they dont care about anybody BUT "their own". I dont expect every load they give me to be a 500+ mi run. But i dont expect every single load for the past couple weeks to be less than 200. My DM knows, that if i get a run down around memphis, to get me planned on something out of there, cause if he dont, i wont take it. Cause we both know if i get there, and have nothing to get me out.....i'm probably sitting till he gets back to his desk at 7a.

also...explain to me how i accept a load, then when i finally go MT on the one i was under, then wonder why the next load isnt being auto-dispatched, then i call memphis asking to get the next load, and they say, "what load? there isnt nothing else on you". When i ask where that 400-500 mi run went, they'll tell me "the load cancelled", but when i ask my DM about the info, it didnt "cancel" but was taken off me, and put on another truck?? has happened more than just a few times.

They have gone to a new format of paper log. No 'logbook' anymore, just loose leaf logbooks. Though i still do mine on DDL.com software. Dont see me changing from that. We've been 'scared' into being told "after the loose leaf pages are gone, we're going to paperless". But that still has to pass DOT procedures first.

Edwardsville...had some of my best "stacked pre-plans" from that group....GREAT Terminal, and people, at least in my time.

As for the pre-plan "magically disappearing"...good ole Memphis, I guess some things will not change....as you said in your post, and I misread every word I guess...Memphis takes care of their own, not for the company good, but for their terminal drivers preference. The weekend planners have always "ignored" the planning of the day crew and week day group. I complained about this situation since the first month that Swift took over MS, and moved into the Memphis facility. I, somehow, managed to avoid Memphis planning (after hours)...being a L/O helped as I could "bite the bullet" and just move myself out of their zone, and into Columbus and the wonderful Sears planner...who was a very good friend!:biggrin_25514:

Nana's information on the student "payback" routine is much more accurate than mine...I left Swift 2 years ago...to the day actually...and hadn't been directly involved with any student issues for almost 15 months prior to that...so the "payback" I was familiar with was the original concept, and they were still working the bugs out of it.

It takes time, and patience....but Nana...*pain is forming in belly saying (typing) this*....is usually correct on Swift policy and method of handling things....very astute young lady......besides, she likes PIE!:biggrin_25514:

Pie! The one thing that could bring world peace if only people would share.:biggrin_25525:

I thank you for the kind words. I try, but sometimes I'm just wrong wrong wrong. This change and with the schools they changed them one location at a time so it's been very confusing for me. lol # myself.

However, I remember how I combed this forum for information and much help people like yourself and others gave me by sharing information, so I try to do the same.

P.S. I still say Swift lost a valuable asset two years ago when they lost you.
