I don't know about anybody else, but I had a pretty good idea when I was, oh, about five years old to leave those wall outlets alone. It wasn't much after that when I realized electricity can hurt. And that was only a car battery.
These guys plugged into a wall outlet????
Can the school sue the parents for wasting the school's time, space and air on this kid?
I mean, really. Lighting farts is one thing. This is a whole new level of idiocy.

It's too bad it didn't fry his testicles. Would have done the future a favor.
But in all seriousness. This is stupid. Everyone that has taken shop knows the teacher can't keep an eye on them 100% of the time. If they should sue someone, they should just sue the other idiots parents.
In A-school, us avionics students would take capacitors out of our used disposable cameras, charge them up and...... "hey catch!"
But at least we knew it wouldn't kill ya. The current needs to cross the chest. Like if some idiot were to attach cables to someones nipples and.... oh wait.....
LOL I just now noticed the tags. Very nice -
I think the most we willingly hurt ourselves with electricity was sticking tongue to a 9 volt battery lol.
As far as fun things in shop class,we got pretty good at making knives and swords which we then had fights with lol -
rocknroll nik Thanks this.

Maybe a silly thought, but could the school not counter sue for parental negligence? After all, don't parents have some responsibility for teaching their kids some things, like common sense?
I learned by age 5 not to play with electricity. Stuck a barette in a light socket. Never did anything like that again.

Wow this kid is dumb as all hell, an his friends even dumber for plugging it in. I as well learned about electricity at a young age when I stuck a nail in the outlet and went for a little flight across the room. Never messed with it again.

My children knew not to stick their finger/nipple/toe/tongue/ear/any body part in the electrical outlet long before they were old enough for shop class.
