Why CRE newbies really disappear from this forum

CRE newbies who come on here to tell their stories seem to disappear in droves. Can you blame them? They come here in their excitement and start writing and before they can blink an eye, twenty people are blasting the poor guy or gal about how stupid they are, using faces like the eye rollers, head shakers, etc. Then the poor newbie has to come back and defend themselves and it seems they have no chance against all these experienced know-it-alls. These know-it-alls can be extremely brash with the insults towards the newbie, where the newbie just gives up and stops writing.

I have searched this forum for weeks about CRE and found several successful people who have made it at CRE. I have noticed in their threads, however, that throughout the entire thread, they are fighting against the bashers. Constantly defending their decision to go with CRE. Some of them, like Carrot Top, have been very successful and don't mind defending themselves, and others, like Grandma Debi (yes, she came back on her thread) has said that she and her hubby are fine at CRE, but she couldn't stand all the negative posts, so she stopped posting.

AHA! So there we have it! From a once newbie herself! The REAL reason newbies stop posting!

It's not because they are embarrassed because they failed. Although, sure, it's possible some failed, but most, I believe, only wanted to tell their stories, whether they failed or not, and probably would have continued their stories if not faced with the negativity that G-ma was faced with.

The know-it-alls on here are chasing away folks who could be posting very pertinent information on this forum for newbies to learn from. The good, the bad and the ugly. Yes, I did say GOOD!

What I have learned from reading is that you can be succesful at CRE if you:

1. Lease a truck and be a trainer at the same time. The extra money you make as a trainer is the only way to make it.

2. Drive company as teams. If they say there are no company trucks right now (right out of training) then wait for one.

Also, it helps if:

1. You have no bills at home. No wife (unless she drives too) or kids to support unless your wife works and can pay the bills until you get going with your new career.

2. You not have a home. Live in your truck and when you have time off for a few days, get a hotel and rent a car.

3. Don't be stupid. Don't be lazy with your books. Keep on top of everything. Be one step ahead of CRE. Get a calculator and know how much each check should be. Don't assume that CRE's bookkeeping service is all you need.

4. Clean yourself up. If you are stinky and unshaven, it will reflect on how you do other things in your life. Someone who keeps themselves clean and professional looking is more likely to succeed at anything.

Yes, I'm green, but I'm not stupid. Good luck, newbies. Don't drop off this forum because of the naysayers who didn't do their research, thus became failures. You can make it. Ignore them, and keep posting. You don't have to defend your decision. Just keep writing.
