And how many job applications have you filled out in the last two years? My MVR is perfect over 33 years of driving.

If you want to get down and dirty, it is my age. I am 54 going on 55. I doubt you have yet to try to get a job at my age. But the day is coming when you will be considered a has been like me and all the quick and easy answers will no longer assist you.

But you will still have to endure young human resource people handing you a handful of excuses.

I have only received on speeding ticket. It was when I was 16 years old and I drove through the entire time of the 55 mph speeding law.

I used to get about one ticket per trip- pay the $30 fine, and my home state would not record it because "we don't know if it would have been a violation in our state."
Of course, this was when you could get a DUI in your car and still drive a truck because this was your livelihood and you did not do anything wrong in a truck . . . and you were cut some slack for a few tickets in your home state because, after all, you drove so many miles more than a four-wheeler, you were bound to get a few more tickets. What a different world. As it gradually changes, the newer drivers have no idea how it was, right or wrong.

A smart thing to do is to have recommendations from your clients. Maybe its not to late.
