Yep, this sucked. I was a driver for them up until the end. I didn't want to believe it but the downward spiral was happening for a while. They were a really good company to work for and I have to say that I appreciated the opportunity to drive for them. I started out driving for them. I don't think it was just the bankruptcy of Bowater that killed them, but it didn't help. Also, the trucks were white since 2001, the old orange trucks were pretty much non existent except for a few locals.

As much as I hate to see a company fail .....truth be known there is still an over abundance of trucks out on the road keeping freight rates low, until some of these companies that are barely hanging on fall by the wayside rates will never come up...thus driver pay won't increase, etc. etc.

Well maybe you should stay in tune with your companies issues ....it was reported last night on the business report on PBS that YRC will be asking the union to take another pay cut. So good luck with YOUR company. That mismanaged union behemoth will be out of business in two years.

Can you tell me why it is, that only non YRC employees are getting this news. From reliable sources, I might add.
But you guys still have your heads in the sand.
Just because my horse is still breathing...doesn't mean the #### ain't dying.
