There are days I could lay in that sleeper for 15 hours and just sleep. I get really tired after a week and need extra sleep.

Okay, to begin with you can drive 11 hours a shift. But also the law isn't written for "a day", it reads that you can drive 11 hours within a 14 window then you must have a minimum of 10 hours off duty.
So this means on a team truck you actually could be driving 14 hours within a 24 hour period if your partner's 10 was in the middle.The Challenger and AfterShock Thank this. -
i dont know about all solo drivers but i love when im at a terminal and a trainee comes up to me and start talking about how easy driving is and this is is the easiest job he or she has ever had. but i try to tell them wait to you go solo life isnt as simple then there isnt 2 of you then, theres only one and sometimes you've gotta do what you gotta do to get the load there on time just my 2 cents
