Heres a very old trick, take a bathroom plunger and just plop it down next too your fav chair , like at pc,with gear pattern on big pieace of carboard, then without even knowing it just go thru the gears , moving your clucth foot at same time, after while you rember all the shift point's just rember too flip up that tab for the next set of gears that you taped on handel, even at ot class , just keep moving your left foot, but rember this is a basic shift pattern , differnt transmission have differnt shift patterns ,worked for me

and remember the Addam's Family Theme song? Hear those finger snaps? That is the timing of your shifts....one . two.

Hi, yes this what i finnly went too , this a great program, even saved my butt at scale house, i had my reg logs , took in , and since i havent touch the log for that day since i started out that day in am,, i ussaly copy after i get done for the day , i took him out too truck and my full size pc in there and fire it up and showed him my day, he said good enuff and print off my work sheet for him and he let me go
green light, but the last company i worked for was very old school, a o/o that had 5 trucks, and wanted too do it his way, meaning run too ca ,come back and throw logs away for that week, then start with new log book for next week, i never undersand that one ether, cause that book says you have too keep logs 7 days back, so i didnt stay with him only about 3 weeks of running logs his way, i dont know if hes still in buss or not , but i dont runs logs that way, i do it like the federal says too do it,in there little green book,

Believe me i dont wanna cheap out or try to finagle through thats why im asking the questions that i am.I dont want to waste there time nor mine..lol
ill probably just try and get into one of there schools even though i already have my cdl.Use is as a nice training time.JustSonny Thanks this. -
I had 2 people in my class that already had their CDLs. One has been driving truck in Europe for 25 years and the other got his 20 years ago and has since driven school buses and worked as a janitor for the school system. It will definitely help you to go through the whole school as far as logging and such. Also the tractor-trailers will probably handle differently than what you are used to with 53' trailers and full sleepers on board. If nothing else it will be useful information to have when it comes time to bump a dock and deal with the paperwork involved.
Also, with Swift you pay nothing up front unless, you want to prepay, and they take $150 a week out of your pay once you start on your own truck. After 13 months you have payed back half of the loan and the other half is repaid by Swift. Over the next 13 months Swift repays you the $1,950 you have payed in effectively schooling you for free. If, however, you leave before the 13 months is up you would owe the balance of the $3,900. -

Another way of looking at this is that if you stay with Swift for 13 months, your school only cost you $1950. If you stay with Swift for 26 months, the school ends up having cost you nothing (zero, zip, zilch, nada...nary a #### penny).
