Connect your TND (turn on) and connect to your computer, Close the TND Dock.

Go to the bottom right of your computer monitor and look for the white "snow flake". Right click and exit.

Then go to your start menu, left click (my) computer, Look for C:\logs. Attach the file TNDDock.log. To an E-Mail and send to me please.

You will see a lot with a date after the .log , but I need that one file.

Anyone else seeing any type of issue after a download please send me their TNDDock.log file please.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    hello all (sorry caps)

i did my upgrade with no problems, an did it in less than an hr, only because i just got my (2nd) tnd 700 yesterday so it had all/most of the new maps in it,,,, there are some neat new things on new version, if u choose the rocket trk it will fishtail when u go around a bend,(not sure about other vehicels). You can change color of vehicel u choose, has warning for steep grades, sharp curves an on screen warning for construction, scales, state lines etc,,,,,, i am very happy with my unit,,, just a couple things i need to ask mark

    1. What is considered a steep grade for warning to go off?
    2. What is considered a sharp curve for warning to go off?

now i updated unit in carslie pa at the petro, then i had to go to montgomrey ny (on 84) when i got to mm 59 on 81 (IN PA) it did not warn me of construction from mm 61 to mm 69,
then when i got to montgomrey ny (exit 5) it shows a striaght off ramp on tnd but it is now a cloverleaf ramp,
other than those couple of things, i love my tnd 700.

thnx mark for all your help! Hosss1987 (mike)

I will get back to you on the two warnings...

I forwarded the route and construction up to Rand.

Remember, construction has to be considered a "long" term project.

    Thanks,
    Mark

On the map screen, to the right side, about 1/2 inch from the top is the Turn-by-turn list... the altitude is there.

    Thanks,

I love my TND. I came up I57 in IL today and it was off tracking by about 400 feet though. Had me out in a field for about 20 miles south of I80. Also it still shows the truck speed limit as 55 all the way up I57.

    Mark,

Is there a way to see all the "avoids" that are set in the TND? I once set an avoid on a bridge that was really backed up with traffic, and now I can't seem to remove that avoid. No matter what I try, it will not route me across that bridge. It routes way out of the way, and I would like it to route across the bridge.

Additionally, if I set an "avoid" on a route, how can I force a recalculate of the route without first canceling the route, and then re-entering the destination.

The first item I will have to check... we have several different areas to set avoids/detours..

Once you set a avoid or detour the TND should recalculate on its own...

    Thanks,
    Mark

I believe that "avoids" are permanent, while a detour is only temporary for the current route. In any event my unit is not recalculating after I set an "avoid". I have to force it by canceling the route and then re-inputting the destination. Try it and let me know if you can reproduce it. Additionally see if when you remove the "avoid" it will re-route through the the previously "avoided" segment.

Ok, I need some help. Every time I turn on my unit it says "end of driving day" and "end of driving time". How can I stop it from saying this every time? Help! I think it must be a setting I'm missing.
