Anti-Gay T-Shirt Causes Stir in Chicago High School

I guess the big question here is why are school age children being encouraged to support gays by a day of silence? How can a public school sanction such a thing? IF I were still in school my parents would throw a HUGE fit over this kind of thing.

A persons sexual orientation is NOT for school children to support or boycott! THEY are kids. Maybe this school needs to concentrate more on English, Math etc. NOBODY in a public school has the right to encourage children to "support" such behavior period. No I am not a gay hater, I hate nobody but I do hate their "livestyle".

 

That is the point. Most people will ony complain when the Bible is brought up. They don't mind if the schools teach their Great, great ,great grandpa was a monkey or it is OK to be gay. Few will complain about it. Let some good moral abiding kids take a stand for their religious beliefs and all of a sudden it's time for the death penalty to be mentioned. Few care if God is offended, but by all means don't upset the gays.

Filed 8 similar lawsuits....on which? The Christian point of view? Or the contrasting view point to homosexuality? The Christian point of view being our way IS the only right way?



luvmyhubby, penguin, and the others (I'm too lazy to go back through posts a 4th time) have some valid points in reference in it being WRONG to silence a child, how else do they learn other than trial and error?

There is something to be said about free speech.



To simply scream from the rooftops...it's not the way the bible had intended the human race to live (being gay) etc, blah,blah. all you're succeeding in doing is to raise a robot........being only as smart as the (ahem) facts you chose to supply them with.


So the question becomes, which bible is being referred to? The current modern day one? Or the one that has lost translation at least 7 times over? (more but you get the point). Or the one that has been changed to suit the needs of the followers? (oops my apologies, because that would include all versions)




I don't much care for the lifestyle either, but when as is said and done, live your life, I'll live mine. Translation: don't dictate what is right or wrong about my life, and I'll attempt to return the favour in regards to yours.

 

Well if you look at it that way we probably need to release all prisoners from prison and death row. That would make sense. They are trying to do away with all of God's laws. Might as well take away all the laws period. That way everyone can live their own life without dictating what is right or wrong. Won't have to worry about offending any rapist or murderers that way.

 

Gee notarps....lighten up!! maybe not take life or the printed word to heart so much, relax and enjoy the scenery...or simply an open mind.

 

Why lighten up? That is what happens when you want to let things slide and not offend anyone.

 

Instead of preaching away in here... why not start a petition to get every body who is not Christian, or does not happen to share your point of view, all gathered and shipped off to some remote island? Then sir you would not have to deal with the mountain you have created.

I did not create the Word. God is way ahead of you. If you read long enough you will see in the end He does just that. Seperates the believers from the non believers.
