Week 1 is in the books and was very good. Got all the formalities out of the way, paperwork, etc... Did the map reading, trip planning, pre-trip, reg's, quizzes and watched the videos. Did the Millis 500 with and without trailer. Also did straight backing and drop n hook. Got the tour of the Miller lot and saw what we haul out of there.

Over all it's been a very good productive week. Things are definitely on the upswing now that we're spending more time in the yard than in the classroom. I'm very satisfied with what I've seen so far. Got to talk to several drivers coming through Trenton. They were all nice and happy to talk to us. All of them have said it's a good company to work for and I was glad to hear all the positive feedback. It reinforced I made the right decision to go with Millis.

I'm looking forward to week 2 and 3. I hope the weather holds up the way it has.

Congrats Bear/Ryeman on your first week. I just completed my schooling/orientation there in Trenton on the 22nd. I am scheduled to go out with my trainer on 10/4. There was a lot of information to take in, in a short amount of time but as you mentioned very productive. Again congrats and I hope weeks 2-3 go as well for you guys.

Where you all at - Ritchfield? I was there the other day and saw a trainees out on the range but had to drop the load quick, grab fuel and run.

Keep going and keep us posted on your progress. I know it seems like it will never get to the end - but it moves faster than you think!

No we're in Trenton. I saw Spanky in the yard earlier in the week but I was running the green flag on the Millis 500. I hope to cross path's with you guys.

    Jag, thanks!

Khaki, thanks also. You'll enjoy it when you get started. Where you going to school at?

Oh ok - havent been to Trenton in a while. I dont like going there since you never seem to get a load out of there very fast.

Yea - that Spanky is a very elusive creature!

Week two was great, learning all the maneuvers and getting to practice them. It was great to get out on the road today finally. Everybody passed the maneuvers test and everybody did good today on the road. One more day of classroom tomorrow - woooohoooo!

Next week is the last week. We're supposed to be on the road all week but it looks like that may not happen due to something more important. So we'll see how it goes and what we do.

All but one have trainers lined up, but two are definite yet. We're getting pretty stoked about it all.

    I'll update more next week.

I feel bad for your trainer Bear. As many four wheelers and 1 semi that pulled out in front of you today (5 or 6) in a 2.5 hour period. I would hate to see the count after 5+ weeks lol. You had it under control and I wasn't scared. Good week in all. I got my trainer locked down on Wednesday and we have talked a bit. He is already giving me pointers. We should get along great, close to the same age & we like alot of the same stuff. The best part however is, he is driving a 2011 T660. lol hope everyone starts posting again. It was always nice to here how thing are going with trainers and the other drivers out on the road.
