I just don't see the big deal about a few fuel receipts if you are running legal. Mine will all match my log to the minute. I have only been out here 3 years but honestly I really don't get hassled much by Law enforcement. I don't speed, keep a good following distance and try to be safe.
I have only had to deal with them 3 times in 3 years. One was a roadside level 1 with no violations. I actually got pulled over for that one.
The others were at scales. One was a Hazmat check that resulted in a write up for a placard not perfectly straight. The other was an overweight ticket written to my company on a dedicated dry bulk trailer that was loaded wrong. I was 76000 gross but over 500 lbs on the trailer tires because the customer loaded too much product in the rear compartment of a 4 compartment tank.
My point is its rare to get bothered unless you spend a lot of time speeding or have obvious defects on your tractor or trailer.
Just some of the stupid things I see

well in all jobs you have good and bad. so states look at ticketing cdl drivers as revenue and thats a problem!!!!!!!!!!!

They can #### well find a safer place to do a level 1... like the friggin weigh station. -
Same thing in my personal vehicle. I have never and will never consent to a search of my POV. It's not that I am trying to hide anything. I do not do drugs, don't drink and drive, no open containers, no unregistered weapons, etc. I just do not consent to an unwarranted search of my property. Yet, they are so used to being granted access to other's property, they will try to turn it around with comments like "you don't have anything to hide so why not let me look?" It's all a trick to get you to consent so anything they find will hold up in court because you allowed them access to something you didn't have to.
Don't get me wrong. I do not have issues with LEOs. I rarely have problems with them. We are expected to operate within certain boundaries, well, so are they. I am not about to make someone's job easier when their job is to find faults on me.james3505, bigcountry30, lilillill and 2 others Thank this. -
