I have noticed some things for the past 5 months with mine.
First it will tell me turn left or turn right but point the other way. I follow the arrows and not the voice and its correct.
Second I find its reading exit numbers in Spanish. Kinda funny actually, but not at the same time. Everything else is english then the actual exit number is spanish lol. -
I called Customer Service today and was told the upgrade was $160.00 plus $8.00 for shipping.
My 7700pro which is only 2 months old cost me $600.00 with tax. Now Cobra wants other $170.00 for what I thought I was getting in the first place. A truck spec GPS.
SO Cobra wants all us BETA testers (yes, that is what anyone who bought the 7700 is.) to pay to beta test this unit too. -
Very good point! We already paid a premium to obtain this unit; now we 're getting nailed again with sky high updates! Why can other manufactures do it for less than half of Cobra and still make a profit
? That stinks big time!

- Punch the address into a 7700 and then tap on MAP to view the location on the map.
- Go to Google Maps on the internet, and view the address. It was the same location.
- Go to MapQuest on the internet and view the address. It was the same location.
- Go to Google Earth and punch in the latitude and longitude coordinates that were displayed on the Cobra. It was the same location.
