Looks like I'll be going to orientation on the 9th in Fontana, Ca. They are looking for Hazmat teams out of that terminal.
Anyone know anything about that fleet? I'm fresh out of school and am excited / nervous about starting. -
hello guys, I drove for swift for 10 months, you know what, everytime I remember those 6 weeks training I get pissed off. my trainer was from russia. the sad thing was when i ask him a question he asnwer me with another question (I wish you understand what I MEANT). believe or not it took me almost 2 weeks just to figureout the log book plus he had me sitting in sleeper berth when i'm off duty because his computer was installed on passenger seat. for the rest of the trainers just keep talking. can you believe it?! and when those #### 6 weeks finished I felt like i was reborn. thanks to God

I start orientation tomorrow...it's comforting to know that DM's will be sympathetic and responsive if the trainer I get is a jerk. As a 20 year veteran from hospitality I'm fairly easy going, but then again, I've met a lot of delivery drivers that I wouldn't voluntarily socialize with...

Some people get all soft in the middle with company trucks, not having to take into account expences, not having to do the brain work, just drive and get paid.
With work, thought, and some brains, O/O's can be rather successful. -
I think he meant lease driver not true owner operator.
