When we are done with the 2 weeks of training, do we do the CDL driving test right in SLC?

Whats up Mikley. I see you are from the Bay Area. I've followed most of your post on here. How are things going. How are your miles? Any info that you can give a newbie would be awesome:biggrin_25514:

Hey Trip.. His name is Chris. He mentioned to me when we started that there is a school in Sac, So Cal and SLC. I would prefer SLC my self if I could not go to Sac. I have family in SLC and would hate to live in a hotel with a stranger for 3 weeks. Have you started yet?

For those of you going to the Salt Lake terminal for training there is a Walmart just a couple of blocks from the terminal and Central has a bus that you can drive up there whenever. So instead of buying stuff and packing it to take on the bus may be to your advantage to wait till you get there to buy your stuff you need. For those of you going to the Conley terminal bring everything with you. There is nothing around that terminal! There is a ghetto TA about a mile from there but you are risking your life walking to it.

Also a few important reminders: Make sure to bring your birth certificate, copy of your MVR, and copy of your DAC if you are an experienced driver. Also bring a nice pair of clothes because you will be having a one on one job interview.

A little insider tip: Central is very big on first impressions and how you conduct yourself during orientation and training. This reflects how you will be representing Central in front of their customers while you are out on the road. Make sure to heed my advice, it could literally mean the difference in what truck you are issued after training! Slackers=slacker trucks Professional and neat appearance= newer nicer truck!

Welcome to the forum guys I have a bunch of Central pictures on my profile and if you have any questions feel free to pm me. Otherwise good luck out there!

Hey 1 BAD, where're you hanging at tonight. I'm in a very lovely parking lot in Pembroke, NH. Good thing they've got OVNP here or I would never have made it here legally.
