Central Refrigerated Truck Stop

wow im flattered! I just tell things like they are. Miles are pretty good for me except for this week. I was stuck in the SE with WJ's crappy loads. Usually I dont mind helping out down here in GA but this time WJ stuck it to me. First he gave me a 150 mile load then a 320 mile load with no PU appt no delivery appt. So i go to the shipper for the 320 mile load and fins out that I was 17 hours early and since no appt was on the Q-comm i am not eligible for detention. So now im at the peelot in Byron, ga probably stuck until monday. with only 800 miles for the week. so im looking at a negative balance in a couple weeks. first one in a while though it happens EVERYTIME i am in GA and get WJs loads.

as for advice... hmmm.... when you DO get out on the road dont develop the "i'll drive my truck, you drive yours" attitude. There are guys out here who have been driving since we were in diapers. Often they give us advice that will save our lives going down steep grades. The ones with that attitude seem to ALWAYS end up upside down in the ditch or using the fire extinguisher on their trailer when it catches on fire from riding their brakes down a 6 mile 6% grade.

Well crap, Im going to Conley and was told a shuttle will take people to Walmart on a daily basis. I did not bring a sleeping bag because my duffle bag is huge lol. I anticipated being able to buy one while I was there. Oh well atleast I got sheets.

Sitting in Virginia now awaiting the bus to restart. I got about a half hour to go.

 

No I just turned in the criminal background paperwork to my recruter, That is one of the 3 week courses? hmmm maybe I will stick to the riverside one. Thanks. I hope to be out soon!

How about what is company policy on animals? I am guessing no.

 

Sorry SCott there is a shuttle there at Conley. Walmart is a little ways away though. I was typing faster than I was thinking(and I really don't type that fast!) and forgot to put that little tidbit of info in there. There is just more in you immediate surroundings at SLC. However there is a nudie joint next door to the terminal in Conley! Don't get caught there though, office employees only!

If you get caught at the bar or other place up the street you will be fired instantly.
Remember, this is a Mormon run company. They do not allow porn in trucks either.

Regarding attitude. Luckly I'm not that guy. I listen to most, and always learn from mistakes. I learned about down shifting, and riding breaks when I was 16 lol. If you ever run through the Sac area let me know I'll pick your brain and buy ya lunch.

tell that to the swift driver going down i 40 coming into NC where you are supposed to stop at the top to read the sign before going down.... he just passed that area up and rode his brakes all the way down!
