Got a few questions about Millis. I have heard nothing but good things about them. I live near the Eden NC terminal and was just wondering if this would be a good place to run out of as far as hometime goes? I have really enjoyed Baritones thread but I personally would not be comfortable staying out as long as he does. Just wondering if any current Millis drivers have any info on how flexible Millis is on your hometime. For example if you stayed out 10-12 days could take 3 days off or would that be a problem? Also it appears that Eden is near one of the main freight lanes so would it be conceivable to think you may be able to stop by the house once a week or so while out on the road living near Eden NC. Thanks guys, be safe.

Have you read Millis's home time guarantee on their website?

You could go home every week if you wanted to. however you won't male as much if you stay out 2 week or 3. There is a Millis yard down there and alot of freight is moved. I believe they also have regional that runs out of there so then you would be home every weekend.

By the way I lived in Ruffin for a short stint about 6 or so years ago.

Thanks guys. Yeah I have read their info on website. Just curious to hear from Millis drivers on if and how you could work it out where you run hard while out for x amount of days and still see home and the family more than once a month. Appreciate the response.

if you live close to the yard in eden you should be able to get on running regional out of there which would put you home every night or at least a few nights a week if there are any openings. if you go over the road you should be able to get home every other weekend with out any problems.

Spanky's spot on! I chose to stay out like I do. It's not required!

One of the fellows that just finished with us in Cartersville was from Eden. Some regional out of there.

I called them yesterday and they have some local dedicated routes as well. From what I was told, it is all drop and hook.
