I think he was just in shock. That really is minimal for team driving. Actually a good solo driver can do that! The trainer was training correctly if that is how they were running. Now if you had said they ran 28,000 in 4 weeks then yes the trainer was running him to hard. A good teams goal is 28,000 a month. When we ran for Central they wanted us to do a thousand a day. I have mentioned here and there to the new guys about how much hustling you really have to do. I don't know if the schools are painting a pretty picture or if all the new guys just think its like a regular 9-5 job. Whatever the case be prepared to hit the ground running. If you are in school now or getting ready to train you are really going to be hustling this time of year. This is probably the busiest times of the year for freight. Also according to Wall Street retail is really, really strong and expected to keep climbing from now to Xmas. This directly affects you! You are definitely going to be running hard with your trainer. Get what you can get though because after Xmas it all comes to a halt! So save up your time off till after the holidays. You will learn all these little tips during orientation and training as far as when to take time off and such.

Was the urine test done done on the same day as the well fit test? I'd figure that they would do a finger stick and not a urine test for blood sugar. Good luck!

You know how many babies wouldn't go for that!:crybaby:That would get rid of over half an orientation class!

I do not give advice on things like the push pull test for fun.
I have seen too many people fail that test that should not have.
It is an easy part of the test, if done properly. The over the head and carry are the only actual hard parts for people that are out of shape or some females. But most people should be able to pass.
I have seen 60+ year old people with stints, and still smoking 2 packs a day pass the test.

I just found this and posted it in another thread. But thought I would share it, since this is where I went on my dedicated run for Central.
If you get a cool whip load to Independence MO, this is where you will be going.
Also store fruit juice on the other side.
Then I am not sure what was stored at blast inc in the back.

Home time is 1 day home for every week out.
You can send a home time request as soon as you leave the house for home time 9 days from that day.
But they don't have to get you home when you want it.
They use to have guaranteed home time, they would pay you 50 bucks a day every day, till they got you home.
This gave the company a reason to try and get you home on time. Since they got rid of that they do not seem to care much anymore.
Plan on 4 weeks out and then 4 days home.

They haul anything that needs to be kept cold, or in some cases from freezing.
Not ice cream though. They try and stay away from that. Too much chance of a screw up.
Meat, produce, beverages etc. Allot of Kraft products, both refrigerated and dry.

leatherman and biker dave Thank this.
